Happy Halloween

This is as good as I get with this Holiday. My mom never like Halloween and so we never really did much. Once we turned 12 years old we were not allowed to go out. We mostly went to friends of the family houses and that was about the trick or treat we had. I have not really done anything since I was 12.

I like to see the beautiful colors of fall. I also like burning a pumpkin spice candle in my room to smell the aroma in the air of fall.

An Aunt again

My sister-in- law Janea is pregnant with their 4th child. It is exciting to have 2 new babys next year.

Elections

I hope and pray that we as a people can choose the best candidate for president. Let us work together to bring unity.

I love birds. When I was on my mission my study desk was next to a window. There was all kinds of birds in Florida and I fell in love with them. I love nature and seeing what God had created for me. I love this picture.. How the bird is trying so hard to eat the berries. Just like how we try so hard to work for something that is great and wonderful like a berry. I know that through life's challenges and tests that we come out stronger and are better then going in. I know that our Savior is here for us through them.

Sin

Here are some more pictures of Greg Olsen. I love these two. You need to see both of them to truly understand them. The first one is with a girl in a red dress symbolizing our sins. We need to go to the Savior for help. The second one is of a girl who's dress is white to show that are sins can be white as snow as we go to the Savior for help. Christ is holding the red dress. He has already taken our sins from us. When I first looked the picture I didn't realize that Christ was holding the dress. It took me a couple of times looking at it that I realized He was holding the red dress. I know that he is there and has taken that pain away from us through his infinite atonement. Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Rodeo

I went to a rodeo Saturday night. It was a girl ask guy thing that the University stake put on. It was President Barney's arena in Queen Creek. Yes I did as a guy out. His name is Dan. He is new in the ward and my friends in the ward told me to ask him it was kind of a blind date. We had fun. We had dinner some western beans, mac & cheese, and a roast beef sandwich, a rodeo and a dance. They showed us events that happen in a rodeo barrel racing, calf roping, team roping, and then they made up some fun games for us to get involved. They had egg tossing, tug a war, riding a stick horse around some barrels, boot racing. We stood around after getting pictures taken and talked and it was getting really dusty from people dancing so we left early. We went at played pool at my new house.

moving/ ASU volleyball

So I finally moved on Friday night. It was fun. I had friends from work help me. We had tickets to the ASU volleyball game so we got the truck and cars packed and then took it to my new house and then we went to the game. Met some more guys there and then they came back to my place and moved my stuff in the house. We were all very hungry so we went to Red Robbin for dinner at 9:30pm. I usually am in bed by then. It is fun to be young still. :)

5k walk

Many of you know that my mom passed away 5 years ago to breast cancer. I had the opportunity to walk in a breast cancer awareness on Sunday. Iit was a lot of fun and a good experience for me. I thought about my mom a lot that day and will continue to think of her and she will always be in my heart. I love you MOM!!!

Greg Olsen

I had a great opportunity last night on Sunday to go listen to Greg Olson talk about his art work. It was amazing. I love his paintings but I like them even more now. Just the little bit that he told us was amazing. He went into some detail about his paintings. Here

are some of the pictures the he talked about. The young man with Christ. He had received an email from a young boy and at the end of the email there was a message that Greg felt that this young man needed. The painting above captures that message. That we need Christ. That the path that is shown in the back is that path that we are taking and the luggage that is next to him is the luggage that we need to let the Savior carry for us.

The next picture is the one with the Savior knocking at the door and how we need to open the door. Really meaning opening our heart to him. and as you look by the window in the picture there is a heart in the rocks to help remind us that we need to open our heart to him and let him in our lives.

YSA Conference

I was able to go to a Young Single Adult Conference this weekend Friday night and Saturday. It was a lot of fun to meet new people. We went up to a cabin near Miami, AZ on the way to Globe up in the mountains. It was beautiful and quiet. A nice place to get away and just relax and have fun. Friday night we had dinner at In and Out and then drove to the cabin about 1.5 hour away. We played games in the car. The memory game, the would you rather..., ABC game. When we got to the cabin we looked around the cabin and then tried to decided what we were going to do next. The acres of land that the cabin is on is HUGE. They have a huge garage with a basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc in it. We played volleyball in the dark with a glow in the dark ball. That was fun and a bit difficult. We played a game like that then we turned the lights on and played and then we played boys against the girls. It was a nice relaxed night. Then we played some basketball, I played speed with some of the guys. I had fun with that. I haven't played b-ball in a really long time. Then we went back to the cabin and chatting and then we killed some spiders and scorpions. Then we told stories till about 1:30 in the morning. I was ready for bed. It was a really late night for me. On Saturday we woke up to some rain and fog. We all were wondering how the rest of the day was going to be like. But it turned out to be wonderful!! The sun did come out and we had a beautiful day. We moved rock to help with some erosion on the property. Then we played games and ate hot dogs. Then we went on a hike in the wilderness. It was a like adventure and to enjoy what the Lord has created.

Angels

On Thursday I had the opportunity to go to the temple to work in the laundry room. I loved it. I came out of there having a great appreciation for the temple clothing. I folded initiatory clothing, folded baptismal cloths, folded ties, hung up dresses, matched socks, matched and folded stockings. I learned how important it was to fold the clothing properly so that it would fit right on the shelf and so it doesn't wrinkle. There is an organization in all things. I have been having a rough few weeks trying to figure out life. The whole time that I am working I had a prayer in my heart that I will be able to get through this and I will have some direction. As it was time for me to go the man that was in charge said that he wanted to show me something. He said maybe you have seen it but it will be in a new light. I signed out and he showed me something that has had an impact on my life. I will never forget how I felt and what I saw. Coming out of the women's dressing room there is a picture of Christ and on the opposite direction is a mirror. As you walk out of the dressing room you see yourself through the mirror with Christ. It was a great feeling and something that I didn't realize was there before. There has been on many of times that I have gone to the temple and it never accrued to me. He was angel sent for me that day. He touched me and knew what I needed to see and know that my Savior loves me. I know that there are angels from heaven everyday and he was mine that day. I am very grateful for that lesson. I needed it that day.

General Conference

I love Conference. It is a great time to reflect on life. I love to hear the prophet speak. He loves, cares, and prays for us. He is a great man of wisdom. I felt his spirit strong on Saturday morning and felt his love for me.

Happy Birthday

It was my birthday on Monday the 29 of September. I had a lot of fun and many giggles.
My grandmother wanted to take me to breakfast so we made arrangements a few days ahead of time. On Monday at 9 I show up at here house. I knock on the door. She came to the door and the is the conversation we had:
Grandma: "What are you doing here?
me: breakfast. Are we going to breakfast.
Grandma: I forgot. I already ate breakfast at the her place.
me: That's ok Grandma.
Grandma: Come in anyway.
I go in a sit on the couch and we talk for a bit. She felt SOSO bad that she had forgotten. She just turned 83 on Friday the 26th.
Grandma: I can't let you starve.
me: Oh I won't starve Grandma.
She insisted on taking me somewhere anyway.
The only place I knew of that was by her place was Taco Bell, Wendy's, McDonald's and she didn't know of anything. She let me choice. I went to McDonald's and had Egg McMufffin and some orange juice. We went to the park and ate I took her home and I went back to my place to pack! I got some phones call from Scott my brother, Amy Evans, my dad. A text from Carree, Ashley, Amy, Jon, Janea, Kristina, Kelsey, Selica, Sara (my roommate), Ann, Amber. An email from Kathy. It nice to know that people remember my birthday. Some people I had no idea knew that it was my birthday. My friend Elaina took me to lunch at Olive Garden. It was good. I had the all you can eat salad, soup and bread sticks and they sang too me and I got whit chocolate rasberry cheesecake. Oh so good!! Then I went to her house and watched a movie Music and Lyrics. It was a cute movie. Went home and tried to take a nap and couldn't so I laid there for a while trying to sleep. Mind was thinking of things that I should be doing.
Some of my co-works, a friend and a roommate had a party dinner for me at Dave and Busters. It was really fun. THANK YOU!!! for a great night. We had dinner, was sung too, had a brownie for dessert, and played games. It was a really FUN day.

This is for my sister Sara she said that next time I come up she would make a cake for me. I need to make time to go to Flagstaff to enjoy a piece of cake from my sister. She loves to make cakes, she has FUN with them, she is very creative with them.
