Cloe's Blessing

We all got together at Brian's house to have a Sunday lunch after Cloe's blessing and have a birthday party for Tod.

My neice Cloe was blessed this weekened. All of my family was there except Amy and Taylor. We missed you. Tod moved down to Flagstaff the week before so he was able to be there. This is me and Cloe. The only pictures that were taken that weekend in her dress.

Twilight

I love this book. I am going to finish it this weekend. I borrowed it from a friend a long time ago. The 4 book of the series is coming out Friday!

Happy 4th of July!!

I went to Flagstaff for the weekend. It is so much cooler up there in the Phoenix area. I love my family. I love to be with my nieces and nephews. I have been relaxing and hanging out with family. Unfortunately Flagstaff does not do fireworks but it was good to remember this day and why we have our Independence and the freedoms of this country. Time to reflect and remember those that have served and are serving our country. I have two uncles and a grandfather who have served. My Family is very patriotic.

Church Farm

On Saturday June 21 my ward had a service project to help on the church farm in Coolidge. We had to be at the church by 4:30 in the morning it was early so we could beat the heat. We were weeding out the weeds in the cotton field. We got lost and we were late for the instruction. we got tolls and headed to the field. They assinged rows for us to go down and once we were done with the row we went back the other direction. It felt like it never was going to end. We kept working and working til we finished our rows. We we were out there by 8:30 8:45. When everyone else had left bu 7:30 8:00. We didn't understand why everyone else had left and we were still out there working. It was getting really HOT by now plus then working as hard as were were. Then someone came by and told us that we were done working. When we went back to the building to put our tools away they told that we went above and beyond as expected. They told us that we were only to pick the BIG weeds and leave the little ones cause they can be sprayed now that the cotton is tall enough. It was a good experience and we learned to make sure that we knew what is expected of us.

Flag day

Many of you know that my mother was born on flag day June 14. My family is getting together today to go camping and remember my mother. I am excited to go to Flagstaff and be with my family for my mother's birthday and to be with my father for Father's day.

Family Home Evening

Last night for FHE in my ward we hiked A Mountain. It was a lot of fun. As we got to the top you could see the entire valley and I was really sick to my stomach being at the top of the mountain just being high and looking down.It was good to go on a little hike with friends and visit.

Working at the Temple

On Saturday morning I was able to go to the Mesa Temple and do yard work on the temple grounds. I loved it. As some may know that that is what my father does yard work and landscaping. I have been able to work for him in the past several summers. It has been great experience of doing yard work. I love working outside and enjoying all that my Father in Heaven has created for me. Sorry I don't have pictures of me working. Work goes quicker when you have several people there to help. It was nice to start work with a prayer and to be able to hear the temple president speak of the importance of the temple grounds. The group that I was with we were raking the ground by the trees to get air and to help the water get to the roots of the trees. I knew there was a lot of trees but not as many until I started the work I realized there was more than I expected. Another group was cleaning up the leaves, another was cleaning flowerbeds, another was getting the weeds and grass that grew where it wanted. It was a great time to feel the spirit of the Lord and to be in His service making the temple groups as beautiful as we could.
