Grand Canyon

For Memorial weekend my friend Juliet and I went to Flagstaff. On they way we were listening to the radio and Josh Turner was sing a song about riding on a railway. Juliet said that she wanted to ride a train. That made the decision to ride the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon. It was fun and cold it snowed on us on the drive to Flagstaff and while we were at the Canyon. We woke early Saturday to go to Williams. Stood in line and got tickets to ride the train to the Grand Canyon. It was a cold day to go to the canyon. We left Williams at 10:15 and arrived at the canyon at 12:30. It took the train 2 hours and 15 minutes to go 65 miles. It was good to just relax and look outside to look at the creations around and to see the wildlife. We saw elk, deer, antelope, sheep, cows, and a squirrel. When we got to the canyon we saw a California Condor. The Passenger Assistance told us to look for the condor at about 2 o'clock and sure enough around 2 the condor appeared and then left. He did show up later for a second. We looked around the shops and took pictures. We did start down a trail for a little bit.. It was muddy and cold. We got back on the train at 4:15 and we got back to Williams at 6:45. We had a surprise on the way back to Williams. We had robbers come. The train had people through out the day perform for us on the train they played their guitars and sang song. It was a great time to relax!

Volleyball

I played volleyball last night with my ward. It was fun. I love to play. The gym we played in was soooooo HOT that I was drenched in sweat before I even played. It was a fun even though we didn't win. It was good to be around good people.

The Diamondbacks Game

I went to the Diamondbacks game on Friday May 16 with my friend Trent, my roommate Sara and her friend Justin. We had a great time. They won!! They played the Detroit Tigers. The Gila River Casino did a firework show after the game. It was fun! Good to take a day off every once in awhile.

My Mother

May 18, 2008 was the five year anniversary of my Mother's death. She was a wonderful lady. She taught me so much. She passed away from cancer. She suffered for several years from it. I love her and miss her dearly. She is always in my heart.
